Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Administer public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Coordinate City Council meetings, agendas, and documentation
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Process business licenses and municipal permits
- Train staff on records management systems and procedures
- Act as primary liaison between citizens and city government
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Deep knowledge of Texas Public Information Act and municipal statutes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
