Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and council proceedings
- Oversee public records requests and ensure timely, compliant responses
- Coordinate municipal elections with strict adherence to state regulations
- Prepare and maintain legislative agendas, minutes, and official documentation
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and authenticate official documents
- Advise city officials on parliamentary procedure and legal compliance
- Implement records management systems for long-term archival efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal records management experience
- Arizona Notary Public certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in municipal software (e.g., CivicClerk, Municode)
- Deep knowledge of Arizona open meeting laws and public records statutes
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong written communication and public interaction skills
