Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records including ordinances, resolutions, and council meeting minutes
- Coordinate and schedule all city council meetings with agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Oversee the city's records management program ensuring compliance with California Public Records Act
- Administer municipal code updates and provide legislative support to city departments
- Act as primary liaison between public officials and residents regarding municipal procedures
- Supervise records management staff and implement retention policies
- Prepare official documents for public records requests and ensure timely responses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal records management or public administration
- Knowledge of California Government Code and open meeting laws
- Proficiency in records management systems and document automation tools
- Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Valid California driver's license
