Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with precision
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Administer oaths and issue official city documents (licenses, permits, certifications)
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Provide legislative support to the City Council and manage public hearing logistics
- Supervise clerical staff and implement records management systems
- Serve as the city's primary liaison for intergovernmental communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Deep knowledge of Nebraska municipal statutes and election laws
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
