Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee city elections, voter registration, and public records requests in compliance with Texas state laws
- Provide administrative support to the City Council, including agenda preparation, documentation, and meeting coordination
- Supervise records management systems and implement digital archiving solutions
- Act as primary liaison between citizens and municipal government for public inquiries
- Ensure compliance with open records laws and municipal governance regulations
- Train staff on records management procedures and administrative protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or public records management experience
- Deep knowledge of Texas Election Code, Open Records Act, and municipal governance
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems and digital documentation
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage high-volume records with zero-error tolerance
- Experience supervising administrative teams and implementing process improvements
