- Manage, preserve, and provide public access to all official city records, ordinances, and minutes
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes with precision
- Administer oaths of office and notary public services for city officials
- Coordinate public records requests while ensuring compliance with open meeting laws
- Develop and implement records management systems for digital and physical archives
- Prepare and certify official city documents, resolutions, and proclamations
- Serve as the primary liaison between city departments and the public on record-related inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government records management experience
- Proficiency in Arizona public records laws (A.R.S. Title 38) and open meeting requirements
- Expertise in digital records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error record-keeping standards
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for public interactions
