Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain all official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and council meeting minutes
- Administer public records requests in compliance with Florida Sunshine Law and municipal regulations
- Manage municipal elections, including ballot preparation, voter coordination, and certification processes
- Provide administrative support to the City Council, including agenda preparation and documentation
- Coordinate publication of legal notices and ensure regulatory compliance
- Supervise records management system implementation and retention policies
- Act as primary liaison between citizens and governmental bodies for record access inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or administrative experience
- Expertise in Florida public records laws and Sunshine Law compliance
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Strong knowledge of municipal governance structures and election procedures
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and customer service skills
- Valid Florida driver's license and ability to attend evening meetings
- Notary public certification preferred
