Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records including ordinances, resolutions, and minutes
- Oversee public meeting logistics including agenda preparation, documentation, and compliance
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals
- Coordinate public records requests ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Manage voter registration databases and election documentation
- Prepare and certify official municipal documents
- Serve as custodian of city contracts and agreements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal or government administrative experience
- Certification as Municipal Clerk (MMC) or equivalent preferred
- Expert knowledge of Indiana public records laws (IC 5-14)
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
