Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee public records requests and information disclosure compliance
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Manage business licensing and permitting documentation
- Coordinate with city council and mayor's office on legislative documentation
- Preserve and archive historical city records with archival best practices
- Develop public outreach programs for civic engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Washington State Public Records Act (RCW 42.56)
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
- Experience with election administration processes
