Responsibilities
- Manage municipal records, ordinances, and official documentation with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee election administration and voter registration processes
- Prepare and maintain city council meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions
- Administer public records requests and information disclosure compliance
- Coordinate municipal licensing and permits for residents and businesses
- Serve as custodian of city seal and official documents
- Lead constituent engagement and public inquiries with professionalism
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or public sector experience
- Michigan Notary Public certification required
- Advanced proficiency in record management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Deep knowledge of Michigan election laws and FOIA regulations
- Exceptional written communication and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Experience with city council procedures and legislative processes
