Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, organization, and preservation of all official city records and archives.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, official minutes, resolutions, and ordinances for the City Council.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the public and media regarding city council meetings and procedures.
- Coordinate logistics for council meetings, including room setup, technology support, and attendee management.
- Process legal documents, contracts, and correspondence in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Maintain the City's compliance with open records laws and public information requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administrative or clerical roles, preferably within a government or municipal setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft clear and professional documents.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive city information.
