As a key member of our Administrative Services department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining public records, assisting City Council members, and ensuring smooth municipal operations. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and a pension plan.
Responsibilities
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and secure filing systems for official City records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes.
- Meeting Support: Assist in the preparation of agendas, packets, and supporting materials for City Council and Commission meetings.
- Public Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries regarding city services, ordinances, and procedures.
- Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry and word processing tasks with a high degree of accuracy and strict confidentiality.
- Communication: Draft correspondence, memos, and reports as directed by senior management.
- Compliance: Ensure all departmental procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or Public Administration is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clerical, administrative, or government setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government record management software.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high accuracy in data handling.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
