Responsibilities
- Process and maintain official municipal records, permits, and licenses with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, businesses, and city departments via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Coordinate public meetings and hearings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking
- Manage digital document systems and ensure compliance with state record-keeping regulations
- Assist with voter registration and election administration support duties
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on special projects and community outreach initiatives
- Maintain accurate databases and generate reports for city leadership analysis
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Public Administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative/clerical experience in government or regulated environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
- Knowledge of Minnesota public records laws and municipal procedures
- Valid Minnesota driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional off-site duties
