Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation, distribution, and archiving of official City Council agendas, minutes, and ordinances.
- Manage and maintain the City's public records system, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Administer municipal elections, including voter registration, ballot processing, and election day logistics.
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents, businesses, and officials regarding permits, licenses, and public information requests.
- Coordinate logistics for public hearings and City meetings, including room setup and communication with attendees.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for the City Manager and Council Members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative support, records management, or government operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management software.
- Strong understanding of municipal procedures, legal terminology, and open records laws.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
