Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including minutes, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute meeting agendas and official correspondence for the Mayor and City Council.
- Oversee the reception area and serve as the primary point of contact for public inquiries and visitors.
- Archive and digitize historical city documents to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility.
- Coordinate logistics for city council meetings, including room setup, technology checks, and recording.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for executive leadership.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure compliance with state and local record-keeping laws.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clerical, administrative, or government role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
