Responsibilities
- Custodian of Records: Manage, archive, and retrieve official city documents, meeting minutes, and ordinances in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Election Support: Assist in the coordination and administration of local elections, including voter registration and ballot processing.
- Administrative Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from the public, businesses, and city departments regarding licensing and permits.
- Data Management: Utilize specialized software to input, maintain, and analyze large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
- Meeting Administration: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and maintain records for city council meetings and departmental reviews.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience in a government or corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive records.
