In this pivotal role, you will ensure the integrity of official city documents while providing exceptional service to the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of official city ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding property records, business licenses, and voter registration information.
- Ensure strict compliance with the District of Columbia Municipal Code and record-keeping regulations.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and official correspondence on behalf of the Clerk’s office.
- Maintain accurate databases and filing systems to ensure easy accessibility for staff and citizens.
- Collaborate with various city departments to streamline document workflows and information dissemination.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or History preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administrative support, records management, or a related government role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- High level of organizational skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Knowledge of DC government structure and municipal code is a plus.
