Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain official city council meeting minutes and agendas
- Manage public records requests and document retention systems
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Oversee business licensing and permit documentation
- Coordinate with city departments to ensure regulatory compliance
- Serve as custodian of city seals and official documents
- Facilitate public records access and transparency initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years municipal clerical or records management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and records management software
- Knowledge of California Public Records Act and Brown Act
- Strong attention to detail with document verification skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work evenings for public meetings as needed
