Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, documents, and databases ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, assisting with inquiries, permits, licensing, and departmental procedures
- Coordinate administrative functions for city boards, commissions, and public meetings including minute preparation and agenda distribution
- Process and verify financial transactions, purchase orders, and invoices while maintaining strict fiscal accountability
- Support departmental operations through data entry, report generation, and document management using specialized municipal software
- Ensure proper handling of confidential information and sensitive documents with utmost discretion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and streamline workflows
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in government or regulated industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and municipal record-keeping systems
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated ability to manage complex documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven customer service excellence
