Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public via telephone, email, and in-person interactions, answering inquiries regarding city services and policies.
- Process and verify a wide variety of documents, including applications, permits, and official records, ensuring high levels of accuracy and data integrity.
- Maintain and organize both physical and digital filing systems, implementing efficient retrieval methods for city records.
- Perform general clerical duties such as copying, scanning, data entry, and proofreading correspondence.
- Assist in the preparation of statistical reports, agendas, and meeting minutes for various city committees and boards.
- Collaborate with department heads and other staff members to coordinate projects and streamline administrative workflows.
- Ensure compliance with all municipal regulations, privacy laws, and office protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a clerical, administrative, or customer service role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discretion at all times.
