Responsibilities
- Record Management: Process, organize, and maintain accurate records, files, and documents in compliance with City protocols.
- Public Assistance: Greet and assist the public and visitors with inquiries regarding permits, licenses, and general City information.
- Administrative Support: Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, meeting agendas, and minutes for various City boards and committees.
- Data Entry: Input and update data into computer systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communication: Answer multi-line phone systems and direct calls to appropriate departments or staff members promptly.
- Document Processing: Scan, photocopy, and file a high volume of documents daily.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of clerical or administrative experience in a government or public sector setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer operations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain data accuracy and manage confidential information with discretion.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
