Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate government records and filing systems in compliance with city protocols.
- Process and review incoming applications, correspondence, and official documents efficiently.
- Perform data entry and update databases with current citizen information.
- Answer and direct phone calls and inquiries from the public regarding city services.
- Assist visitors at the service counter and provide guidance on navigating local government processes.
- Prepare and distribute reports and memos as directed by department supervisors.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in an office, administrative, or customer service setting is highly desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government database software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
