Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume data entry and maintain accurate, up-to-date departmental records and filing systems.
- Greet and assist the public, city employees, and visitors with inquiries via phone, email, and in-person in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute correspondence, reports, and official documents.
- Monitor and manage office supplies and inventory levels to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist in the coordination of city meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and logistics.
- Process and verify documents for accuracy and compliance with city policies and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience in a public sector or customer service environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new database software quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.
