Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume front-desk operations, greeting visitors and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Perform accurate data entry and filing of municipal records, ensuring strict compliance with confidentiality laws.
- Process and verify documents, including permits, licenses, and public records requests.
- Answer and screen phone calls, responding to routine inquiries and taking detailed messages.
- Maintain office equipment and supplies, ensuring a well-organized and efficient workspace.
- Assist senior staff with special projects, report generation, and administrative support tasks.
- Communicate effectively with diverse populations, providing excellent customer service to all citizens.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to government regulations.
