Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process incoming mail, applications, and official documents efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain and update municipal records, databases, and filing systems in strict compliance with city policies and regulations.
- Assist the public by answering inquiries, providing information regarding city services, and directing visitors appropriately.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and reports for various city boards and commissions.
- Perform high-volume data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy using Microsoft Office Suite and specialized government software.
- Handle cashier duties or process payments for city services as required.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline administrative workflows.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in administrative support, clerical work, or government operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse population.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines effectively.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
