Responsibilities
- Receive and screen incoming calls and visitors, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Process, file, and maintain a wide variety of city records, documents, and correspondence in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist the public with information requests, license applications, and permit inquiries with a high level of customer service.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute internal memos, meeting agendas, and departmental reports.
- Operate office equipment including computers, printers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Perform data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support special projects and events as assigned by city management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Valid California Driver's License is preferred but not required.
