Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to ensure compliance
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with professionalism
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate security systems including control panels and surveillance equipment
- Transport inmates between facility locations as required
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to obtain Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Physical ability to restrain individuals and work in confined spaces
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
