Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight hours
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain institutional integrity
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with prompt intervention
- Document all incidents and maintain detailed logs in compliance with department protocols
- Screen visitors and packages to ensure contraband-free facility access
- Participate in training exercises to maintain operational readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework preferred
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness to meet tactical and endurance requirements
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. citizenship and minimum 21 years of age
