Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules 24/7 during night shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents promptly
- Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation for administrative review
- Operate security systems including gates, cameras, and communication devices
- Screen visitors, mail, and packages to prevent contraband introduction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- TX Peace Officer License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong observational skills and physical stamina
- Experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred
- Ability to work rotating night shifts with flexible scheduling
