Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain security protocols during night shift operations
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance to prevent security breaches
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques and appropriate force
- Document daily logs, incident reports, and disciplinary actions with precision
- Transport inmates safely between facilities while adhering to strict procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and medical teams during critical situations
- Enforce facility rules and conduct inmate searches to maintain order
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 21 years of age with U.S. citizenship
- Pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management abilities
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends with reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills for report documentation and communication systems
- Emergency First Aid/CPR certification preferred
