Responsibilities
- Maintain security and order in correctional facilities during night shifts
- Conduct inmate counts and headcounts every 30 minutes
- Perform regular facility inspections and perimeter checks
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents and maintain detailed shift reports
- Screen visitors and packages for contraband
- Transport inmates between facilities and court appearances
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently in high-stress environments
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to restrain inmates and climb stairs
- No felony convictions
