Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to prevent contraband incidents
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical situations with tactical precision
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate security systems including surveillance cameras and access control
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during transport and extractions
- Maintain chain of custody for evidence and property per protocol
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Texas Peace Officer License or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 21 years of age with U.S. citizenship
- Pass rigorous background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Physical fitness certification for restraint and tactical operations
- Experience in security, military, or law enforcement (highly desired)
- Strong conflict resolution skills under high-pressure scenarios
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and holidays
