Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate activities in federal correctional facility
- Conduct regular security inspections and perimeter checks
- Enforce institutional rules and regulations with professionalism
- Respond to emergencies and security incidents per protocol
- Maintain accurate incident and activity documentation
- Participate in inmate rehabilitation programs as assigned
- Operate security systems including CCTV and access control
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Successfully complete BOP training academy
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6am-6pm)
- Physical fitness to meet correctional officer standards
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
