Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor inmate activities to maintain safety and order within the facility.
- Enforce rules, regulations, and policies strictly and consistently.
- Conduct regular cell searches, headcounts, and security inspections.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, altercations, or medical incidents.
- Document daily activities and report violations using the appropriate systems.
- Facilitate rehabilitative programs and assist inmates with reintegration planning.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors to coordinate facility operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- United States Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, including criminal history and drug screening.
- Ability to pass the State Officer Certification Exam.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform physical interventions if necessary.
- Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
