Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology, X-ray machines, and metal detectors.
- Conduct physical searches, including pat-downs, to ensure compliance with TSA security protocols and prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas.
- Identify potential threats, weapons, or dangerous materials and respond immediately according to emergency procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining a professional demeanor, answering questions, and resolving conflicts.
- Operate and monitor screening equipment, ensuring all machinery is functioning correctly and reporting malfunctions.
- Collaborate with fellow screeners to maintain efficient checkpoint flow and high operational standards.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: United States citizenship or legal permanent resident status is required.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is mandatory.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
