Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to ensure safety and security
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to maintain order and prevent contraband
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with appropriate protocols
- Document incidents, inmate behavior, and facility operations in detailed reports
- Screen visitors, mail, and packages to prevent security breaches
- Participate in training programs to maintain certification and updated skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as required
- No prior felony convictions
