Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules to maintain security
- Conduct regular perimeter and interior security checks
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per protocol
- Document daily activities and incident reports accurately
- Facilitate inmate rehabilitation programs and educational sessions
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergencies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness test
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Must be U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old
