Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules to ensure facility security
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance operations
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with professional crisis management
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation using digital systems
- Coordinate with shift supervisors and law enforcement agencies
- Implement rehabilitation programs and educational initiatives
- Operate security equipment including CCTV systems and access control
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and clean driving record
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and physical fitness assessment
- PA Act 120 Corrections certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections (preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
