Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain facility security protocols
- Conduct regular inspections of living quarters and common areas
- Enforce institutional rules and respond to incidents professionally
- Document daily operations and incident reports with precision
- Coordinate with law enforcement and healthcare staff as needed
- Participate in emergency response and crisis management drills
- Maintain accurate inmate records and classification updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Previous security/corrections experience preferred but not required
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident
