Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to ensure security
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to maintain order and safety
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per established protocols
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records of daily operations
- Screen visitors and packages to prevent contraband entry
- Assist in rehabilitation programs and inmate counseling sessions
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during facility transfers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Physical fitness to meet correctional standards
