Responsibilities
- Maintain security and order within correctional facilities during weekend shifts
- Supervise inmate activities and enforce institutional rules
- Conduct routine patrols and headcounts to ensure compliance
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation techniques
- Complete detailed incident reports and documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and medical staff as needed
- Enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid District of Columbia driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and clean criminal background
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Successful completion of physical fitness and medical examination
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
