Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate conduct and enforce facility rules during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per protocol
- Document incidents and maintain accurate logs
- Screen visitors and incoming packages
- Operate security systems and equipment
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- NYS Corrections Officer certification (or ability to obtain)
