Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities and movement of inmates within the facility.
- Enforce institutional rules, regulations, and security procedures strictly.
- Conduct routine cell, body, and property searches to prevent contraband.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, disturbances, or security breaches.
- Document all activities, incidents, and observations accurately in shift logs.
- Maintain high visibility and monitor surveillance equipment throughout the facility.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors during shift handovers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- United States citizenship is mandatory.
- No felony convictions (applicants with certain misdemeanor convictions may still be considered).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, medical exam, and psychological screening.
- Physical fitness sufficient to perform the duties of the position, including standing for extended periods.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
