Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations 24/7
- Conduct regular security rounds and perimeter checks
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts
- Prepare detailed incident and disciplinary reports
- Supervised inmate movement during meal, medical, and recreation times
- Operate security systems including CCTV and control room equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare and rehabilitation staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License
- U.S. citizenship and clean criminal background
- Ability to pass physical agility and psychological evaluations
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in law enforcement, military, or security preferred
- Ability to work independently in high-stress environments
