Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for county facilities
- Manage cloud migrations and hybrid IT environments (AWS/Azure)
- Coordinate disaster recovery protocols for critical county systems
- Provide Tier 3 support for 500+ county employees
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including threat detection & compliance
- Optimize VoIP systems and unified communications
- Document IT policies and SOPs for county-wide adoption
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization (VMware)
- CCNA/CCNP or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Strong experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Troubleshooting skills for network hardware (Cisco, Juniper)
- Public sector or municipal IT experience preferred
- Texas driver's license required
