Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal network infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and security of local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Configure and maintain hardware/software systems: Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and peripheral equipment for federal employees.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for federal operations.
- Conduct security assessments and audits: Perform regular vulnerability scans and security audits to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Maintain documentation: Create and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with project managers and federal stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that meet mission objectives.
- Support software deployment and updates: Manage the deployment of critical software updates and patches in accordance with federal security policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required; Associate’s degree with significant experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in IT support or systems administration within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Security Clearance: Must possess an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain clearance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical jargon for non-technical staff.
- Compliance: Deep understanding of federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and OMB guidelines.
