Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate court records, dockets, and legal documents in compliance with judicial standards
- Process and file legal paperwork including motions, subpoenas, and judgments with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, litigants, and court visitors regarding procedures and case status
- Coordinate court calendars, hearings, and jury schedules using judicial software systems
- Collect fees, fines, and payments while maintaining financial transaction records
- Prepare official court orders, summonses, and correspondence under judicial supervision
- Collaborate with judges, attorneys, and support staff to ensure seamless court operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in paralegal studies or criminal justice preferred
- Minimum 1 year of administrative/clerical experience in legal or government setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal documentation software
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
