Responsibilities
- Public Assistance: Greet and assist visitors, attorneys, and court personnel with inquiries regarding court procedures, schedules, and filings.
- Record Management: Maintain and organize court records, dockets, and files accurately and confidentially in compliance with state regulations.
- Administrative Support: Perform data entry, prepare legal documents, and handle incoming/outgoing mail and correspondence.
- Phone Operations: Answer a high-volume of phone lines, redirect calls to appropriate departments, and take accurate messages.
- Security & Access: Assist with security screenings and access control to ensure the safety of all court personnel and visitors.
- Document Filing: Process and file civil, criminal, and family law documents in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: None required. Previous clerical or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency (typing, Microsoft Office Suite) is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Attention to Detail: Must be highly organized and detail-oriented to manage sensitive legal documents.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.
