Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and FISMA security standards
- Lead cross-functional teams for security awareness training programs
- Manage security monitoring tools and analyze threat intelligence data
- Collaborate with DoD agencies on zero-trust architecture implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in federal cybersecurity roles with active Secret clearance
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or DoD 8570.01-M Level II certification required
- Expertise in network security protocols (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ArcSight) and threat hunting
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance upon hire
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for policy documentation
