Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor advanced security protocols for federal networks and systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified platforms
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation
- Collaborate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DHS security standards
- Mentor junior security personnel and conduct training workshops
- Generate comprehensive security audit reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security or equivalent role
- CompTIA Security+ and CISSP certifications required
- Expertise in SIEM tools, network security, and cloud architecture
- Demonstrated knowledge of CMMC frameworks and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with federal incident response protocols (e.g., IR-8043)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
